HugarHugur, a son of Hrafn 802. He is a beautiful, 5-gaited, silver dapple stallion imported to the United States in February of 1995. His white mane and tail accent his unique silver-dapple body color like hematite (steel gray-black). Hugur is a spectacular stallion with nice, high leg action and an excellent temperament and disposition. All of these traits are consistently passed on to his get. He has sired some very well gaited foals in Iceland and the United States. He has competed in Iceland, as well as the United States, and Canada. In 1995, Hugur took first place in the 5-gait competition in both the 1995 Montana Gaited Horse Show and the 3rd Annual Autumn Classic Gaited Horse Show in Spokane. Also, in the 1995 1st All Icelandic Canadian Horse Show, Hugur won Best 5 Gaited Horse of Show. He was shown in Equitana USA in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1996 and 1997, and at Equine Affaire, in Columbus, Ohio, in 1997. Hrimandi is a charming silver dapple colt and will be large and solid like his sire, Hugur, as well as carry the excellent gaits and temperament of his dam, Dimma fra Bulandi. He shows all five gaits clearly in the pasture as he runs to greet you, to play with his siblings, and also to exercise. Hrimandi is an extremely personable and active little youngster and we learn something new from him each day. He teaches us how to nibble on elbows without the person feeling it, how to grab fence insulators out of buckets and not get caught, and also how to take hair ties out of hair without moving a the slightest strand.
