We have, at any given time, approximately forty Icelandic Horses at Icelandic Horse Acres. Our aim is to promote this wonderful breed and to offer everyone who visits us the horse of his or her dreams! We also are helpful in the transportation of Icelandic Horses whether it be to a different state, or around the world! At Icelandic Horse Acres, Inc. we ride year round. All this year we will have on-line contests, we will have a celebration at the farm, and plenty of other events. We will bring you many more years of service and will keep sharing information about the Icelandic Horse! We have many complements for our information about the Icelandic horse on this website. We will keep adding information about this breed, so do check back and visit us. The goal of this website is to provide lots of information on the Icelandic Horse. We can find that special horse for you. We will be provided horses for auction from time to time so please come check to visit and see our offers. This is a website for those that are interested in the Icelandic horse, breeders, buyers and sellers, investors, historians, world-travelers and the curious. We offer an open promotion for your Icelandic Horse. Part of our mission is to train others about this uncommon breed of horse. We are, a family based international Icelandic Horse business. We want to promote this wonderful breed, with all of our family involved in the Icelandic horse. We ship horses worldwide! In December of 1989, Karen Jean Matsko Hood read an article on the Icelandic Horse. We were spellbound by the description of these wonderfully unique creatures and intrigued with the combination of a naturally gaited horse with an unusual look and a most gentle personality. Within three years we expanded to become the second largest Icelandic Horse farm in the United States. Most importantly, the quality of our herd had improved to the point that we are now quite confident that the quality of both our Icelandic Horses and our commitment to service are second to none. We work with a talented group of people at Icelandic Horse and Travel Magazine, Inc., the first color magazine devoted to Icelandic Horse on an International basis. The magazines international readership is expanding rapidly, and the quality continues to improve with each informative issue. She and her staff work very hard to promote the Icelandic horse breed on an international basis.
